Hi, we’re Murali and Venkatesh, co-founders of SOIL. We are two Tamizhans who share a deep love for our rich culinary heritage and a passion for preserving the traditional flavours and practices that have been lost in everything we eat these days.
Growing up, we witnessed the commercialization of our iconic treats. Sugar, additives, and preservatives became the norm. It was disheartening to see the essence of our culture slipping away.
Driven by our desire to revive the forgotten flavours of Tamilnadu, we embarked on a mission. Digging deep into the very heart of our culture, we sought guidance from seasoned culinary artisans and revered elders who preserved the sacred knowledge of age-old recipes and techniques passed down through generations.
We wanted to create something truly special, not just for ourselves, but for everyone who cherished the traditional flavours.
After months of experimentation and countless taste tests, we perfected our creations.
